Leavers WA
Leavers WA is a State Government harm minimisation and crime prevention strategy led by the WA Police Force. The strategy is delivered in partnership with government agencies, community organisations and local stakeholders who each play a vital role in keeping young people safe
We acknowledge and thank all partners and contractors for their ongoing commitment to supporting young people and ensuring Leavers celebrations in Western Australia remain safe, well supported and positive.
Meet the Team
Elevated Experiences Co
Leads the planning, coordination and onsite delivery of The Zone, including entertainment, attractions, infrastructure, safety, logistics security and volunteer readiness.
Red Frogs WA
Delivers peer support, outreach, wellbeing assistance and a 24‑hour hotline to help keep Leavers connected and safe.
South West Coachlines
Operates the dedicated Leavers‑only bus service, ensuring safe and reliable transport to and from The Zone and official events.
Baptist Churches WA (Green Team)
Manages wristband collection, queue operations and provides volunteers to assist safely moving attendees through entry points.
Theme Group
Provides nightly catering services for volunteers and staff working in The Zone.
AAC (CrowdFlo)
Manages online ticketing, QR‑coded wristbands and operational reporting to support safe access control.
Royal Life Saving Society WA
Delivers BeachFest and provides water safety education and outreach for attendees.
WAAC
Provides sexual health and AOD harm‑reduction education and manages the Chill Out Tent as a safe support space for attendees.
St John WA
Provides additional community ambulance services for Leavers WA.
Partner Agencies
Department of Health
Provides high-level health oversight, risk management advice and medical protocol governance. Provides event first aid response within the Zone, linking with local hospitals and health agencies where required to ensure appropriate care.
WA Country Health Service (WACHS)
Supports local preparation for Leavers WA through health promotion, harm reduction initiatives and stakeholder liaison, and provides local health services through Busselton Health Campus and Margaret River Hospital.
Mental Health Commission
Supports AOD training, outreach services and contributes harm‑reduction messaging.
City of Busselton
Facilitates contractor permits, compliance, traffic management and ranger services to safely and successfully hosts the Leavers event.
Shire of Augusta‑Margaret River
Keeps local businesses and accommodation providers well informed about all key information relating to Leavers.
Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association
Shares accommodation data and coordinates with local providers to support planning and safety.
Department of Transport
Supports transport planning and contributes harm‑reduction messaging.
Road Safety Commission
Delivers road safety messaging and engages directly with attendees at event locations.
RAC
Provides safe‑travel engagement, roadside checks and incentives for safe driving breaks.
Department of Education
Supports school communications and pre‑validates Year 12 eligibility for wristband purchase.
School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA)
Supports verification of Year 12 status through WASN for attendee eligibility.
