  • Make sure you have a physical and valid copy of your photo ID, as you will not be able to collect your wristband without it. For the full list of accepted Photo ID and proof of year 12 documents, see Acceptable Information.

  • Make sure you follow the Leavers WA Instagram and Facebook to receive updates.

  • Book your accommodation before departure. Camping in public places or sleeping in cars is not allowed and you could be fined.

  • Check the Terms and Conditions or House Rules for your accommodation.

  • Contact your accommodation manager before Leavers if you have any queries.

  • Make sure you have a safe and reliable form of transport to and from your destination.

  • Provide your parent or guardian with your accommodation provider’s details.

  • Use the In Case of Emergency feature on your phone to add your parent or guardian’s contact details.

  • Meningococcal disease is a rare but life‑threatening illness. Get vaccinated - it’s free through your GP for people aged 15 - 19 years of age. See Healthy WA for more information.

  • Know the laws that could affect you during your celebrations. This includes rules around alcohol in public places, drug possession, antisocial behaviour, curfews for P‑platers, mobile phone use while driving and other police powers. Understanding these laws helps you avoid fines, police action or being removed from Leavers WA events and services.

  • Check the size of your bag/backpack that you may want to take to events – note that bags and backpacks that you may bring into an event can be no larger than 22.9cm x 16.2cm.
