Why do I need to use my WA Student Number to purchase a verified wristband ticket?

A verified wristband ticket allows your eligibility to be checked by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA).

Once confirmed, you are guaranteed your wristband at collection, with shorter wait times and no need to bring your Year 12 proof documents to the South West.

Your WA Student Number is used to validate that you are eligible to attend Leavers WA.

Please note:

If you have been held back and are repeating a year (for example, repeating Year 11), you will not be eligible to attend Leavers WA this year. Your eligibility begins in the year you officially graduate Year 12.

Do I need a physical ID to collect my wristband?

Yes. You must bring an original, physical copy of your current photo ID.

Digital copies, photos or photocopies will not be accepted.

Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • WA driver’s licence or learner’s permit

  • Passport

  • SmartRider with school name and photo

  • WA Photo Card

Can I purchase a wristband in person?

No. Wristbands can only be purchased online, not at wristband collection sites or event locations.

What does an official Leavers WA wristband give me access to?

Your wristband provides access to:

  • The Leavers Bus Services

  • The Entertainment Zone

  • Supported services across the South West

  • BeachFest (four‑day wristbands only)

My accommodation booking includes a wristband. Can I use this for official Leavers events?

No. Accommodation providers are not associated with the Leavers Events.

You must purchase an official Leavers WA wristband to access The Zone, BeachFest and all supported services.

Can someone else collect my wristband for me?

No. Wristbands can only be collected by the attendee, as we must sight your original photo ID at the time of collection.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

No. Refunds are not available for change of mind.

Can I resell or transfer my ticket to someone else?

No. Tickets and wristbands can only be issued to the person whose name and WA Student Number were used at the time of purchase.

Resale, transfer or reissuing is not permitted.
