A message from the South West Police District
- South West Police District Police are tasked with maintaining law and order during the Leavers celebrations week
- The biggest concern for Police during Leavers week is road safety
- Especially concerning for Police is the large concentration of 'novice drivers'
- The South West District has seen recent fatal traffic accidents involving young people
- Please drive safely and speak with your Leavers about road safety and responsible driving
- Driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, driving distracted by phones and driving tired are critical risk factors in road safety
- South West Police District is committed to getting our leavers there and back safely
- Police will target illegal supply of illicit substances and alcohol during Leavers week
- Police will monitor anti social behaviour to protect the community and Leavers
- Please self monitor your group's behaviour and if there's serious health issues reach out for help - get your mates home in one piece
- Have a great time and respect the Police, service providers, volunteers and community
