HOPE COMMUNITY SERVICES GUIDING OUR LEAVERS THROUGH A SAFE CELEBRATION

Read on for some IMPORTANT info by your caring Hope volunteers

Stick with friends… your friends can look out for you, look after you and get help for you if you have a accident, or if you have had too much to drink.  Also there is safety in numbers, both for guys and girls. 

Girls.. Always keep some girlfriends around as there are usually guys that come to leavers to take advantage of girls.  You can also find yourself in an uncomfortable situation with a guy you know if you are on your own and especially if alcohol is involved. 

Guys… being male doesn’t make you invincible either the risks are different. For example if you are out and about after crowds and volunteers have gone, you’re  cruising for a bruising.  There have been guys at leavers who just want to start fights and don’t particularly care who with.

Look out for yourself, Look out for your mates, and if you need a time out look for the recovery tent
