While they’re away
Stay in touch
- Organise designated times for your son or daughter to contact you and/or for you to contact them.
- Buy a phone card for your school leaver to contact you.
- Encourage your school leaver to have access to extra money for phone calls.
- Remind your school leaver of the safety tips during Leavers.
- If you are contacted by WA Police because your son or daughter is in trouble, remain calm and cooperate with the instructions given.
- Encourage your Leaver to put an ICE number in their mobile phone.
